He has been the finalist or winner at numerous competitions: the winner of the Texas State Music Teacher’s Association Performance Competition in 2001, a National Finalist in the Music Teacher National Association Collegiate Artist Competition in 2002, and a Regional Finalist in the National Association of Negro Musicians Scholarship Competition in 2003.
Dr. Daniel made his professional debut in 2001 with concerts in France and Germany. Since then he has played recitals throughout Michigan and Texas, and has made appearances in California, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Ohio, South Carolina, and Wisconsin.
In addition to his work at St. Matthew’s & St. Joseph’s and One Voice Chorus, Dr. Daniel is the conductor of the Birmingham Musicale Vocal Ensemble, an auditioned female ensemble.
